Main point content is a test for audio guide creating. Dining & Dietary: Macedonian cuisine includes a lot of grilled meats, fresh salads (the Shopska salad of tomato, cucumber, and sirenje cheese is a staple), bean stews, and dairy. These are naturally gluten-free or easily adapted, so you’ll have plenty of options. We chose restaurants known to assist with GF diets (like Skopski Merak where staff double-check ingredients​ and Kaj Kanevče in Ohrid which was very knowledgeable about cross-contamination​). When in doubt, explain “без глутен” (bez gluten) – many younger staff speak English too.
